Well I can't sleep, or rather I shouldn't sleep since I need to be up in two hours anyway. So I'm going to spam the fuck out of this post with Met pictures. I really really liked the Met, but I'm sad that the whole American wing was closed. American art is the only art I actually know anything about. O and I have a few pictures from the Museum of Natural History too! I apologize in advance, the pictures are shitty. I have a bad camera and I know absolutely nothing about photography. I also didn't have the luxury of using a flash to correct for my mistakes. I would really like to a) get a decent camera and b) learn how to use it. And some of the pictures look really good larger, so click them!

This is the entrance to the Natural History Museum. Lots of Roosevelt quotes. Personally, I think Teddy Roosevelt was a racist little redneck hunting fuck and son-of-a-bitch. :-)

OK SO. These rest are from the met (The above were from Natural History) This is probably going to be way too many pictures, but idc.

I was kinda hoping for some Rocky-type steps or something here.

We started in the Greek and Roman galleries. Apparently the Ancient Greeks liked to stick Griffon heads on their cauldrons. Sexy.

This vase was from around 500 BC I think. All this stuff was, I couldn't get over how old it was.

I think this was actually a Roman copy of a Greek statue. Fucking cultural-appropriating skanks.

This was a wall fresco in someone's bedroom in some Roman villa. How fucking cool would it be to have that in your bedroom?!

Now we are in the ~Oceania~ and Pacific room. This museum was so fucking huge, we haven't even been through like 1% of the first floor yet.

I never found out what this was but it was cool and large.

OMG THIS ONE MADE ME CUM because it is a re-make of sorts of the Oxbow by Thomas Cole, a famous American landscape painter, by some modern American artist over 100 years later. And it was huge!

It had writing and shit on it.

I just love how it says Glory Hole in the lower left corner. I didn't know they had those in the 1930s.

OK SO. First of all yeah Ugolino and his sons look pissed, but this was in the European Sculpture hall where some girl named Cristin "But my friends call me Cris" started hitting on me. She was from Mexico and it was her first time in the U.S. She had really broken English and kept asking questions like "Do you play any musical instruments?" and then laughing really awkwardly. She started talking to me under the pretense of being lost, so I gave her my map. But oy vey.

OK so I only included this here because that is a ceremonial birthing bed from Versailles. Basically, when the Queen would pop one out she would lay there while everyone stood around her and watched. I also kept seeing that guy all day. When you go through a museum you tend to run into the same people it's weird. At first I thought he was gay and with his hag because he was "hay girl haying" the shit out of one of the galleries but then they were holding hands later and I was like "O"

THIS WAS AMAZING. It is a carved Medieval rosary bead the size of a walnut.

Ok this shit was Proto-Egyptian and like 6,000 years old I ain't even playin.

They moved an entire fucking temple into the museum.

The upper east side.. I can't even imagine what those apartments/condos must go for.

I thought this was cool because it was from Egypt but under Roman rule, so it's like a fusion of styles.

And Thomas Eeakins! Ugh I cum on his grave he is the best. Plus this painting is of the Schuylkill River in Philly.

I kept going back to look at Madame X.

UGH so I got yelled at in the middle of this huge, quiet gallery from the other side of the room by one of the people there for taking this picture because it was in a special exhibited. I could probably get in shitloads of trouble for uploading this as well.. But it's a good painting and you can find a better picture for free online so whatever.
